you can never plan moments
I walked up the old stone steps from Zrinskeho to Myjavska today, a route I took many times when I lived on Svetla. I like this neighbourhood with its crumbling old buildings and overgrown trees, the older houses possess a magic that outshines the new glass boxes that money has built in the past decade. I remembered almost skipping down the steps of a summer evening on my way into town to meet friends, the blossoms from the numerous bushes and trees filling the air with their sweet fragrance and also the slow heavy paced journey home several hours later smiling under a starlit sky.
It was to photograph trees and maybe a bit of nostalgia that took me up the steps today. I saw the tree branch poking out of a 10 metre wall at the top of Myjavska, so I leaned against the wall and pointed the camera up, and at that very moment the aeroplane flew over. It made me feel happy, that journey has given me another nice memory and confirmed to me that you can't plan moments, they just happen, and all we can do is appreciate them.
